1)
Thanks for ideas for Jesus Praying/Praying Hands Craft

Thanks to Kathleen from DeWitt and Mary from Michigan for your ideas for the praying hands crafts. I did not get back online in time to use in October, but have kept the ideas to use in the future!

FYI - What I did was make "stained glass" windows out of construction paper. A sun cut out of one page & a moon cut out of another page. I melted orange/red/yellow crayons between wax paper for the sun and blue/purple/silver crayons between wax paper for the moon. Then we put some praying hand stickers on them. Used ribbon to attach the two "windows" together and ribbon at top to hook to suction cup. Hopefully they put these up at home in their bedroom windows to be reminded that we can pray any time day or night. Thanks. Your help was appreciated!! I will be asking for more I am sure!! Thanks to you Sara for all your hard work in keeping this wonderful ministry going. Vicki from Virginia

2) Thank you for the Trunk & Treat idea

I just wanted to say thank you for the Trunk & Treat idea. It was a smashing success! We are in the completion stages of a building project and not able to do our normal Country Fair (carnival) and needed something to utilize the space we had available. Our parking lot was a great resource! There are so many wonderful ideas posted and I am blessed for this special resource...Thanks again!

4) Non competitive games

Hi! I am a recreation leader for my church's after school Logos Program. My job is to lead all of the kids, ages 5-12 in non competitive games for about 40 minutes. There are anywhere from 6-15 or 20 kids that I need to entertain. It has been a challenge to find games that they can all play together and actually enjoy. I am starting to run out of my own ideas and resources. I really could use some more!! I would appreciate any ideas! Thanks so much! ~Maggie

5) Folding Paper Cross Story?

Does anyone know about a story having to do with folding and ripping a piece of paper so that when you unfold it it is in the shape of a cross. I learned this a log time ago and remember that it was really neat how it was done, but I can't remember the story or the way to fold and tear the paper. Thank-you, Linda Lee

7) POKEMON?

I NEED TO EXPLAIN WHY POKEMON IS NOT CHRISTIAN-LIKE AND WHY WE SHOULD NOT SUPPORT IT THANKS FOR YOUR HELP Shirley

from ChristianCrafters.Com: This was a topic of hot debate early on in SSTN, you might want to read through past issues in the Archives List.

8) Youth Round-Up

You can modify a lot of the popular board games to be a Bible version. We
did pictionary a couple years back - instead of using their words, pick a
category and then write up cards with your own words. We have done Bible
People (write the person's name - like Noah - on an index card.) and Hymns
and the teens enjoyed it. Divide into 2 teams. Show the card to one person
on each team. That person has to draw (he can't say anything) pictures
until his teammates guess the answer. The first team to guess the answer
wins. You could divide up into as many teams as you want - from 2 people on
a team all the way up to a group effort.

PS - as I write this a 4 point buck just walked past my window to nibble on

(WOW!- how cool! What a visual!! Thanks for sharing that. From Sarah, your moderator.)
