1) Unused Curriculum

If you are willing to send the curriculum to Yugoslavia, it would be more
than welcome. Ljiljana  (lilianc@eunet.yu)

<>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <><

2) 12-15 two to five year olds

A note of encouragement, you need one or two additional moms to support
this size group at this age.  Even older we share two teachers teaching
ever other week but participating as the "helper" each week.  When it's my
turn to teach I prepare the lesson, call the other teacher, and she
assists with anything necessary.  I do the same for her.  It gives you two
weeks to prepare and you can share ideas with the other person.  With even
3 or 4 two year olds you need an abundance, maybe even a teenager to help
"round up" the smaller ones.  I believe if you present your case, you'll
find some volunteers.

P.S.  If anyone has old material we are small church and the sunday school
is supported out of the pockets of the teachers.  I would be willing to
pay for the shipping of any usable materials someone would like to send
our way for 7-10 year olds.  My e-mail is:  sjaros@uky.edu

3) Unused Curriculum

Marie,
I just thought I would suggest to you that missionaries can use unused
curriculum.  Our church sends materials to them.  I know that they really
appreciate it because they are unable to get things like we do.   Hope
this helps you decide.  Chris

4) Past SSTN issues?

Hello i just had a question. I was wanting to know if there was any way to
look at past sstn? thanks, Christina Penley

--from SSTN: Yes, Click on 'Archives List' from the home page of the site:
http://christiancrafters.com/archives.html
You are able to search for specific topics. If you find a question that
interests you, it is likely that the answer will follow in the next 10-15
issues. For instance, if you find a question of interest in # 112. The
answer will most likely be found in #113-123. Also, use various search
words to locate your topic.

5) Snowman party follow-up question

>"....Made large snowflakes (six pieces) difficult to explain--could send
>you copy of directions???  Made bookmarks that said "It's 'cool' to
>follow Jesus." (kids drew snow scene on them)Hope some of these ideas
>work for you.  Tammi in ND"

I would be interested in learning how to make the snowflakes that Tammi
mentions in digest #254. Is there anyway to get those instructions from
her? Thanks, Denise

--from SSTN: If Tammi sends them to me, I can post them in the site.
ysic, Sarah.

8) Pastor Recognition Skit?

Hi, Moving into a new church!!!! We are excited. I am the youth director,
and I would like to do a small skit or a recognition for our Pastor for
his untiring nights of staying late, spending the night and just giving
himself to the ministry. What can we do to incorporate the entire body of
young people? I need help quick.

--from SSTN: make sure you check the Archives List using various search
terms. Ex. pastor, recognition, appreciation, etc. I know there are some
great ideas in there. It's a goldmine! ysic, sarah.

10) Creation science materials

Should have been a little more persistent before sending the first e-mail.
Answers in Genesis is a good source of creation science materials.  Their
address is www.answersingenesis.org. Another source of good material is In
the Beginning,Inc. Russ and Laurie Hanson.Out of Wisconsin Dells. Web
address itbi@juno.com. They send out a newsletter with lots of info,
games, and info about who they are and what they do. They do go out and do
VBS, but it appears to be done mostly in Wisconsin

11) Pastor and Superintendent Gift Ideas?

Dear Sarah, Do you have any ideas on crafts for 12 to 14 year
old to do for a Christmas gift for the Pastor and
Sunday School Superintendent?
Thanks, Ann

--from SSTN: there are many wonderful ideas in the site in the holidays
section on the Crafts page:

<>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <><

12) Web resources

Dear "M in Ontario" Thank you for your faithful service to the Lord.  It
is so wonderful to hear of young people being obedient to His calling.
There are many resources available for free on the web.  One site (which
gives lesson plans even) is www.edumat.com.  Other general resources are
cmmag.com, most curriculum companies have a web -- Lifeway.com is great
and has teachers and administrators articles to read.  Group publishing
has sites.  There is a site, www.childrensminsitry.net, which offers
links to many many many sites. You may want to check out some of the
articles that are around that focus on how to convince your church board
to invest in the children's ministry.  Before the age of 16 the greatest
chance for a person to become a Christian exists -- by the time they are
adult, very few will accept Christ if they hadn't met him as a child.
