Mother's Day Songs:

> I was wondering if anyone new a good Mother's day song, I could teach the
> children to sing for their moms on Mother's day? One with a lot of body,
> facial movement.

Here are some songs that I happened upon while doing a Mother's Day search.
Our children are going to perform the first one with some added motions.
The cutest one is for the words:"Thank you mothers" where the kids will put
one hand in front across their waist and one in back across their back to
bow in thanks. Hope these help.
Blessings,

We Love Mothers
Sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques"

We love mothers.
We love mothers.
Yes we do; yes we do.
Mothers are for hugging (hug self)
Mothers are for kissing (blow kiss)
We love you; yes, we do.
Thank you, mothers.
Thank you, mothers.
For your love, for your love.
Mothers are for hugging, (hug self)
Mothers are for kissing (blow kiss)
We love you; yes, we do.

I Love My Mommy
Sing to the tune of "Up on the Housetop"

I love my mommy, Yessiree!
She is very good to me!
She makes me cookies and yummy treats,
That's my mom and she's real neat!
Oh, oh, oh, who wouldn't know,
Oh, oh, oh, who wouldn't know,
I love my mommy and she loves me,
That's the way it's supposed to be!

Five Pretty Mommies
Sing to tune of "Five Little Ducks"

Five pretty mommies I once knew,
Fat ones, skinny ones, tall ones, too,
But the one in the middle that belongs to me...
I love her and she loves me!

Down to the grocery we did go,
Wibble - wobble, wibble - wobble, to and fro,
But the one in the middle that belongs to me,
I love her and she loves me!

I Love You Mommy
Sung to the tune of "You are my sunshine"

I love you mommy
My dearest mommy
You make me happy
When I am sad
I want to tell you
I really love you!
When I'm with you
I am so glad!

Mother My Dear
Sung to the tune of Rock-A-Bye Baby

Mother my darling
Mother my dear
I love you, I love you
Each day of the year
You are so sweet
And you are so kind
And I am so gla-ad
That you-u are mine

Mommy
Sung to tune of Bingo

I love her and she loves me,
And Mommy is her name-o,
M-O-M-M-Y
M-O-M-M-Y
M-O-M-M-Y
And Mommy is her name-O

On Mother's Day
Sung to the tune of O' Christmas Tree

On Mother's Day

Sunday School Kickoff:

>
In the past our Rally Sunday (first day of Sunday school) has not been that
> exciting. We would like to get the kids really excited. Does anyone have any neat > ideas or a format they use for this day.

Response:

In the past we have had a "Sunday School Kickoff " party. We brought snacks and the kids worked on crafts, like painting their own Sunday School tshirt. We played games and just got them "psyched" up for Sunday School. We usually had the party on either the Sunday before or the Saturday right before Sunday School starts. It also helped everyone remember that Sunday School was starting the next Sunday.

Free Children's Sermons:

Anyone who presents Children's Sermons knows that it is hard to come up with new ideas every week. My 'Story-My Song' is here to help you. There are now 48 sermons and new ones are being added every week. The site now has a search engine to help you find a sermon on a specific subject. Check it out!

Bible Craft Ideas/Containers

Hi Everybody! I just saw the coolest idea for plain plastic margarine
tubs at our church's preschool the other day. A mom had punched a small
hole in the center of the lid, then decorated the lid and the outside of
the tub with stickers. She filled the tub with water, stuck a
short-stemmed gardenia through the lid, and put the lid on the tub to
make a non-spilling bud-vase for the teacher. Wouldn't this make a
wonderful Mother's Day gift?
Wishing you JOY in His service,
