"I'll get it!" Chris Jr. said as he ran to answer the phone. School was out for spring break and Todd, Chris's best friend and neighbor was calling to invite him on the camping trip he and his parents were going on. "I'll call you back as soon as I ask my parents" Chris told Todd.

Chris had never actually gone camping before, but just the thought of it made him very excited and happy. Chris's parents knew Todd and his family very well, they were neighbors and attended the same church. They knew Chris would be well taken care of if he went camping with them, so both dad and mom said he could go.

Chris called Todd back to tell him he could go. The more they talked, the more excited Chris got. He could hardly wait! Todd shared how the boys could go fishing, hiking, swimming, toast marshmallows and hot dogs over a campfire, and then, Todd said something Chris did not like, "We even get to sleep in our very own tent."

"What do you mean our very own tent?" Chris asked. "Mom and dad have three tents," Todd replied, "one of the tents, sleeps two people, and the two smaller tents sleep one person each."

"Isn't It cool, Chris? We get to have our very own tent!" Chris Jr. didn't think being alone outside in the dark, in his very own tent, sounded cool. He was actually a little bit afraid. He didn't want to spoil the fun for Todd, or even worse be thought of as a chicken, so he said, "Well, I gotta go now, Todd, I'll talk to you later."

Now, the more Chris thought about the camping trip, the worse he felt. His imagination was running wild. He pictured himself all alone at night. "I could be attacked by a mountain lion, my tent could be invaded by angry bats, or even worse, I could . . .
