"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Galatians 5:22-23
What you need: Flour tortillas, yogurt (banana, strawberry, red raspberry,
etc.), shredded coconut-sweetened, various fruit such as sliced bananas, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
What you do: Spread the yogurt onto the tortillas. Sprinkle the shredded coconut over the yogurt. Arrange the fruit on top. Slice your Fruit of the Spirit Pizza into nine sections (to represent the nine aspects of the Fruit of the Spirit). Eat and enjoy!
Bible
point: The Bible says, "Love your neighbor as yourself." The Spirit of
God makes it possible for us to show love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to those in our families
and to those we meet each day.
Notice that the Bible says, "FRUIT," not "fruits" of the
Spirit. The "Fruit of the Spirit" has many parts, but it is one work
of the Spirit. In essence, it is a description of Jesus' character. Before we
can have Jesus' FRUIT, which is his character displayed in our lives, we must have him
living in us. God's promise to us is this, "Everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved" Romans 10:13. Ask Jesus to save you. He will
then
change you to become more and more like him! (See also Romans
8:9-10.)
Allow this sweet and flavorful dessert to remind you to follow Jesus, then you will be able to bring the sweet and flavorful Fruit of the Spirit to your family, friends, and coworkers each day!
This is just one of the activities you'll find in, The Fruit of the
Spirit Bible lessons -- for K-5th grade.
